Sangiacomo Family Honored
The 2009 Oral History, prepared by Carole Hicke, was presented to the Sangiacomos, the Carneros area pioneer grape-growing family. Juany Bedolla, former president of the WLASC, made the presentation to members of the family. The WLASC is very grateful for the opportunity to honor this exceptional family. Because of pioneers of their fortitude and commitment to fine winemaking, Sonoma County is a world leader in this industry.

Elin McCoy, author of “The Emperor of Wine, The Rise of Robert M. Parker, Jr., and the Reign of American Taste,” gave an absolutely delightful recap of “The Emperor Updated! She shared many moments and tidbits about Robert Parker, illuminating his rise in the wine world and what he is up to now.
